How do I change my password?
All I want to do is to change my password. However, when I click to links to change it ("Reset password" and "Edit Account"), they both tell me to go to PlayNC.com. I do not wish to make an account there, and when I did try, it would not accept my GW cd-key...
Help please... |

It maybe the only way is to make an account at NCsoft for support but you don't have to give them your cd key.I am not sure why you can't do it in edit account though.

I click it and it just says "You can make changes to your account here:
NCSoft.com And whenever I want to add a game to an NCSoft acc. it makes you give cd-key |

no you'll need your cd key to create a master account, otherwise they can't help you change your password.
Um... try logging into plaync.com using your guildwars email & password, if it works the other way around, it should work that way... |

My guild leader is having a similar problem. He can't change his password or login email, and even though he has a plaync account, their is no link there for him to change his password. Two days of talking with support have so far resulted in no solution. To make things worse, he's been recently hacked, and now can't change any of the info to secure his account. Email support and get them working on the problem as soon as possible.
Besides, you can't enter your used cd-key on the plaync site anyway. They only accept new keys, then they activate a game account for you. Another reason to get with support. You'll need them to link your gw account with a plaync account. |

I've also ran into the problem that I can't change the password and had already been a member at plaync. I have the link to plaync but it won't accept the password to change password. The hint is for the password I've put in so I know it's the right one.
My guild leader had also been a member at plaync with no link to his account and was hacked into. |

You can only add your key directly to your plaync account if you haven't made a GW account yet. If you already made your account, you have to make a Plaync account seperately and then link your GW account to it through the GW ingame store.

wow im suprised nobody knows this , or atleast hasnt mentioned it.
Start up guildwars log in and at the character select screen at the bottom you will see a options button , click it and continue from there, thats where i changed my email and password , oh wait no i didnt change my pass :P but that option is also there. |

When I said link it through the store, you don't have to buy anything. But it forces you to link your GW account to a plaync account before it will let you use the ingame store. So you can just click on the store to link your accounts.

I have the same problem. I got 2 slots through the store and now I cant change my password or my email... What is worse is that monday morning my acct got hacked and they took virtually everything that was worth anything. I have sent numerous complaints about it but no response...Hopefully with everyone starting to have this trouble they will get it fixed soon as I have basically quit playing till I can get mine changed.
